Busy restaurant, good food, good service. No beef on the menu? The grilled branzino special was flawless. Not a bone to be found, cooked perfectly.
I recently visited Bella Notte in Bellmore and had a mixed experience. First off, the valet parking situation was confusing and, frankly, a bit shady. There's temporary signs at night indicating valet parking only for Bella Notte, but my friend called the owner who assured us it was fine to park despite the sign. This left me uneasy, especially since I had valuables in my car and it was around the holidays. I'd suggest the restaurant clarify this or reconsider the valet setup. That being said, the bartender and drinks were excellent. The cocktails were well-made and a great way to unwind after a long day. As for the food, it didn't quite live up to the hype. The bolognese was more of a meat ragu, lacking the depth and richness I expected. The chicken francese was fine, but nothing special. Given the high price point, I was expecting more in terms of flavor and authenticity. Overall, I'd recommend Bella Notte more for drinks after work rather than for a full meal. The food didn't justify the cost, and the parking situation left a bad taste in my mouth.
Solid 5 Star. Everything was perfect. Great Ambiance Great Service - Huge shout out to Robin our server! And most of all, the Food! Every appetizer and entree was perfection. The Bruschetta - Excellent The Kung Pao Calamari - Tasty, tender and delicious. The Frutti Di Mare over linguini Fra Diavlo - Super tasty, super fresh ingredients, spiced to perfection! The stuffed shrimp looked amazing, The pork Betty special was tender and super tasty. And I really liked the finishing touch, a tray of biscotti was served with our coffee. We're looking forward to returning - We have a new favorite restaurant in town!!!
Everything perfect! Love this place go often. Staff is experienced friendly food fantastic great good wine choices.
Update. Still like this place and my wife liked it more than last time, but four little things bothered me: (1) like last time, my two breaded veal cutlets were a bit tough, but the pizzaiola sauce was great; (2) the busboy took away our breadplates and butter knives before we were done with them; (3) my wife's diet coke was 2/3 ice; and (4) the Montepulchiano wine (by the glass) didn't taste good. My escarole with garlic side dish was fine. My wife had a very large serving of broiled salmon with a side of mixed veggies, so she needed a doggy bag to take home leftovers. A side dish comes with the entree. They also put out complimentary bruschetta before the meal, a bread basket with butter pats, and biscotti after the meal, even if you don't order dessert and coffee. My veal pizzaiola dinner was reasonably priced at $31, but the Salmon was $42 and the branzino and halibut (which we didn't order) went into the high forties. The bill for two, without appetizers and desserts, was exactly $100.00 (not too bad). Our waitress was patient and took time to explain ingredients and preparation of the specials.
Great service, better food. Will go back again. Staff was so pleasant and helpful but not a bother. Food was homemade and very good. I would recommend it for a large party gathering, just call and ask and they will set you up perfectly. Family run and there is pride in service and the food.
Teddy's Place is like home. The food is incredible and the wait staff and chef are amazing. I love the veal chop an and all of their pasta dishes. I highly reccomend
Consistently delicious. We love this restaurant. Zucchini Bolognese & Chicken Parm are family favorites.
Great service whenver I have eaten there. The food and staff is consistent. Always going to get a great italian meal no matter what you order.
A treasure in a tiny strip mall! Bella Notte gets you your Italian-American fix with an ambiance that is more family/special occasion-oriented than trendy. White table clothes and and upscale decor, but nothing stuffy about it. My father has been coming here for a few months now and talks about how much he loves it. We had a family dinner here the other night, the five of us at a large circular table. We didn't make a reservation but I think that can't hurt, especially on a weekend! The dining room is spacious and they accommodate large groups quite easily. There was a large family a couple tables over and it didn't at all feel crowded or noisy. Their menu is extensive (and there's a lot of specials). Nothing is marked as vegan and when that's the case, I always ask to make sure. The very informed waitress said that they will make things to order and that would be my recommendation if you have restrictions. The marinara is vegan by the way and very tasty. I ordered spinach and broccoli sauteed in garlic and oil over penne and it was excellent (even with my request for just a little garlic, the roasted cloves were plentiful, so if that's your thing, you'll be very satisfied). There's a nice array of reasonably priced quality wines by the glass. A full bar is available, with a friendly bartender that made my Dad's Manhattans perfectly. Bella Notte is a solid choice and hits the spot for those salt of the earth Italian American dishes.
